Isla Cristina has strengthened its reputation as one of Europe’s emerging destinations for Stand Up Paddle (SUP) after successfully hosting the fifth stop of the 2026 European SUP League from September 4 to 6.Nearly 150 athletes, including five world champions, travelled to Playa Central for three days of high-level competition that combined elite SUP racing with family activities, amateur events and experiences showcasing the sea, culture and gastronomy of the Costa de la Luz.The event brought some of Europe’s leading SUP athletes to Huelva and placed Isla Cristina at the centre of the international water-sports spotlight. ...
