With the new Norden Pintail SGT v2, Norden Surfboards is launching a stand up paddle board that combines classic longboard style with modern performance. Developed for stylish turns, fluid cutbacks and elegant noserides, the board is aimed at SUP surfers who are looking for a real surfboard feeling on the water.
The Norden Pintail SGT v2 feels at home in almost all wave conditions – from small knee-high summer waves to powerful overhead swells. At the same time, the board remains versatile enough to be fun on flat water too. Experienced paddlers and lighter riders can use the Pintail for relaxed cruising and touring.
Revised shape for even more surfing performance
Compared to the first version, the rocker line of the Pintail SGT v2 has been optimized and the width slightly reduced. The result is an even more direct ride with more control in turns and more dynamic behavior on the wave.
The classic pintail shape ensures smooth rail-to-rail transitions and conveys the feel of a traditional longboard – combined with the stability of a modern SUP.
Two sizes for different drivers
The Norden Pintail SGT v2 is available in two versions:
📐 10’0” × 29 1/2 × 4 ½” – 152 liters
📐 9’6” × 27 3/4 × 4” – 126 liters
The board therefore covers both performance-oriented riders and SUP surfers who prefer a little more stability and volume.

Surf Glass Technology (SGT) brings a real surfboard feeling
A particular highlight of the board is the new Surf Glass Technology (SGT). Norden has deliberately opted for a construction that is strongly based on classic epoxy surfboards and therefore creates a particularly direct and lively ride.
The 20 kg EPS core is laminated by hand with two layers of 6oz fiberglass on the deck and underwater hull. In the standing area, an additional reinforcement of 6oz fiberglass and PVC sandwich provides more durability while keeping the weight low.
In addition, Vector carbon reinforcements are used on the rails and underwater hull. Another carbon band on the underside controls the flex and increases the stability of the board.
The result is a lightweight, robust and extremely responsive SUP board with real surf character – developed for all those who value style, performance and an authentic riding experience when SUP surfing.
