Sporting highlights of the surfing year at boot Düsseldorf 2025

Düsseldorf, November 6, 2024 – In January 2025, boot Düsseldorf will kick off the water sports year with absolute surfing highlights. For the first time, world-class contests with international surf stars will take place on the XXL pool in Hall 17. Wingfoilers will be competing in Düsseldorf at the first “GWA Indoor Wingfoil World Cup – boot Düsseldorf 2025”, surf foilers will be able to take part in the “SFT Surf Foil WorldTour – boot Düsseldorf 2025” at the trade fair, while wakeboarders will be flying over the water of the 60-metre-long pool at the “Pooltastic Wakeboard Masters – boot Düsseldorf 2025”. And the pros of the SUP and skimboard scene will also take to the water and show off their tricks at the “EuroTour SUPIndoor World Cup – boot Düsseldorf 2025” and the “European Skimboard Masters – boot Düsseldorf 2025”.

The stars taking part will be announced in the coming weeks. Visitors will be able to watch sprinters, freestylers and many breathtaking moves on the flying boards from the spectator stands, which will be set up in the hall for the first time.

New design puts products in the spotlight

In order to do justice to the young audience in this hall and set another trend, Hall 17 will be presented in a completely new design. A technical and understated look, combined with a new lighting concept, will draw significantly more attention to the exhibits and products. The design is industrial, monochrome and metallic and picks up on the design language of sea containers.

The ambience is intended to be reminiscent of a club. There is a reason for this. boot 2025 also offers new highlights for party-hungry surf fans. Hall 17 will become a party location on both weekends and will remain open until at least 20:00. Those who want to continue partying afterwards are in good hands at the Surf Festival Camp in the Caravan Center of Messe Düsseldorf, north of the exhibition grounds. DJs will be playing in the specially erected Surf Festival tent on both weekends and personal trainer Sascha Lange will ensure clear heads and fit bodies with his wake-up warm-up the morning after. The pitches with camping infrastructure cost just 25 euros per night at boot.

Varied program for beginners and advanced

In addition to the professional action, visitors will have the opportunity to try out various sports on the water. In cooperation with the Verband Deutscher Wassersport Schulen e.V. (VDWS), Wasserski Langenfeld and Skimzone Germany, there will be hands-on activities for SUP, wakeboarders, pumpboarders and skimboarders and those who want to become one. The VDWS Surf Academy will also be opening its doors again for beginners and intermediates in the disciplines of windsurfing, wingsurfing, kitesurfing and wingfoiling.

Further information and registration options will be available from mid-December at boot.de.

For those who just want to find out more, there will be a comprehensive stage program with experts presenting the latest developments from the surf industry. The stars in attendance will also be giving interviews and signing autographs non-stop. Anyone who has tasted blood or salt water can purchase equipment for the coming season directly from the exhibiting dealers.
