The state of international SUP Racing

As the SUP world meets in Barcelona, or has just met depending on when you’re reading this, we’re giving some thought to unifying the sport of SUP. This was prompted by last weekend, where we had a great SUP weekend with the Alps Trophy and hoped to see the big names of the sport go head to head on the race course. Unfortunately, the other half of the SUP elite were in Spain at the EURO TOUR, where spectators were surely hoping for the same.

We’ve been watching the sport of SUP for 14 years now and time and time again we grumble about the fact that there is no standardized tour where the same people compete against each other in different locations on a fixed schedule. This is the norm in all other sports.
