EURO TOUR Sancti Petri SUP Race Results

The first question that comes to mind when looking at the results from the Sancti Petri race is: Who is going to stop Shrimpy?

This is his 3rd consecutive win and we might almost call the EURO TOUR his, we have not seen such a dominance in the male SUP World since…. Connor Baxter? Noic Garioud? We dont know but can only name the very strong names that can match what he did so far. He was once again clearly faster than his competition. He lead 34 seconds over Aaron Sanchez who stole silver from Rai Taguchi by only one second.

Behind the podium, the field was still stacked with close finishes and many names that are no strangers to good results. Titouan Puyo was once again part of the EURO TOUR, but seems to have problems catching up to this former form. He finished 10th with one minute 42 seconds behind Shrimpy. Christian Andersens 16th place surprised as well, but the season is young and both of them will be catching up soon.

Women

The same question that we asked for Shrimpy by the way applies to Mariecarmen Rivera: Who is going to stop her? In her case we might have a name: Esperanza Barreras. Or maybe Duna Gordillo? After all only Duna was able to beat Esperanza so far. In Dunas case she was a bit far behind Mariecarmen and with a lag of 48 seconds she will have to paddle harder next time. Also nice to see is a new name on the podium with another Japanese addition. Rika Okuaki made 3rd place with 2 minutes 12 seconds behind Duna. It was enough how ever to upset two very well known names to miss the podium: Iona Rivet and Laura Quetglas. Laura is currently on the SWR Rank 6 and Iona on Rank 22. We are sure she will be moving up this week when all the results are updated.
