In this video we have to talk about the fact the land locked pump foiling is completely over looked by most of the industry and event organizers. What really sparked my attention was when I read an article on a Swiss mainstream newspaper about a group of people who are meeting regularly at the lake in winter time to go pump foiling. We had had the subject in last years print magazine but I somehow feel it kind of got pushed to the side by the excitement for wing foiling.
I do feel Flatwater – Pumpfoiling has the same potential as SUP. I know it is much harder than SUP but, it can be done in any kind of body of water just like SUP and also just like SUP it brings a Surffeeling to anyone who has not access to waves. Traveling with the equipment is extremely easy since everything is much smaller than SUP equipment, so there is even an advantage.
But the best part is that the community of foilers like this is still very small, the amount of enthusiasm out there towards the sport and the sense of community is something that reminds me of my own days in Skateboarding and Snowboarding. People are instantly friends just because they enjoy the same sport and thanks to the internet we are now seeing a growth of an national and international community of pump foil enthusiasts.
