ISA Statement of Ukraine invasion

It was nice to see that the ISA was putting out a statement, it sure would nice if we saw more of this from other organizations. We know the paddle sport is deeply rooted in many eastern European countries, so it would be nice to hear more from them. As far as the Stand Up Magazin goes: We are condemning the Russian aggression in its strongest way.

ISA statement on invasion of Ukraine

La Jolla, California, USA – February 26th, 2022 The ISA stands in full solidarity with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people and strongly condemns the military action by the Russian government. At present, no ISA events are planned in Russia or in neighbouring regions – and no competitions will be considered there whilst this terrible invasion continues. The safety of the public, athletes and officials must be the top priority.
We have contacted the Ukrainian Surfing Association to express our concern and hope that all their athletes and loved ones are safe. The ISA will support the Ukrainian surf community in every way possible.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this humanitarian tragedy and we hope that peace is swiftly restored.
