EuroTour 2026 Returns to Royan

Weekend-De-La-Glisse-Royan

Weekend de la Glisse with €8,000 Prize Purse

The EuroTour 2026 season continues this September as Weekend de la Glisse returns to Royan, France, for the second stop of this year’s tour. Taking place from September 18–20, 2026, the event once again promises one of the most challenging and exciting ocean technical races on the international Stand Up Paddle calendar.

Now in its eighth edition, Weekend de la Glisse has established itself as one of France’s premier multi-sport water events. Organized by Surfing Charentes and Nautisme Royan Atlantique, the festival will once again host one of the country’s biggest international SUP competitions while celebrating true ocean beach racing.

Ocean Technical Racing Returns to the Spotlight

At a time when many SUP races are held on flat water, Weekend de la Glisse continues to showcase traditional ocean racing. The event will feature a demanding 2.5-kilometer Technical Race, consisting of two 1.25-kilometer laps with a beach transition between laps, set against the backdrop of Pontaillac Bay in Royan.

The race format is expected to reward athletes who combine speed, technical skill, wave knowledge and fast beach transitions, making it one of the highlights of the EuroTour season.

With €8,000 in prize money on offer, another strong international field is expected to compete for valuable EuroTour ranking points.
