Starboard Launches Global Gen R 5K Challenge in Collaboration with Waterspeed App
The global paddling season is officially ON and Starboard is kicking things off with an exciting new campaign that invites paddlers of all levels to take part in a worldwide 5K challenge.
In celebration of the launch of the all-new Starboard Gen R flat-deck race board, the brand is partnering with Waterspeed, the leading app for tracking watersports performance, to host a digital paddle challenge open to everyone, everywhere.
Participants are encouraged to complete a 5-kilometer paddle using any type of stand-up paddleboard — inflatable or composite, from any brand — and log their session through the Waterspeed app to enter the draw for exciting prizes.

How to Participate:
- Download the Waterspeed App (available for iOS & Android)
- Join the “Starboard Gen R 5K Challenge” in the app’s Community tab
- Paddle 5 km and track your session via the Waterspeed app — log as many sessions as you like; your best time will be considered
- Stay connected by following Starboard SUP on Instagram, YouTube, and subscribing to the Tiki Newsletter for updates and the prize announcement
Global Participation Welcome
The challenge is open to all paddlers aged 18 and over, with no purchase required. One entry per person. Winners will be contacted by Starboard after July 13 via email or direct message.
