Marin Hoeboer and Donato Freens Triumph at 15th Namur SUP Race – EuroTour 2025 Stop #6

The scenic banks of the Meuse River provided a stunning backdrop for the 15th edition of the Namur SUP Race, proudly marking its legacy as the longest-running event on the EuroTour. With competitors from 10 nations and a strong lineup of elite athletes, Stop #6 of the EuroTour 2025 delivered top-tier racing under classic Belgian summer skies.

Hoeboer Makes Her Mark in Women’s Race

The women’s field saw a surprise victor as newly crowned Dutch champion Marin Hoeboer 🇳🇱 claimed her maiden EuroTour victory. Racing for @sunova.sup, Hoeboer demonstrated impressive composure and endurance, holding off a fierce challenge from France’s Lola Pelletier 🇫🇷 , who sprinted hard to finish just behind in second place.

Danish talent Emma Freja Pedersen 🇩🇰 secured third after a consistent performance among the front pack. Fellow Dutch junior Elin van der Sar 🇳🇱 once again impressed, finishing fourth and marking her second consecutive top-four finish. Rounding out the Top 5 was home favorite Nathalie Van Olmen 🇧🇪 , delivering a smart and steady race.

A special mention goes to Stinna Morell Lerche 🇩🇰, who suffered an injury after getting tangled in a fishing line but showed remarkable grit to complete the race.

Freens Goes Back-to-Back in Men’s Division

In the men’s race, Donato Freens 🇳🇱 once again showed why he’s considered one of the top contenders this season. With another commanding performance, the Dutch paddler made it back-to-back victories on the EuroTour, solidifying his dominance in the 2025 series.

It was no easy win, however, as Ethan Bry 🇫🇷 chased hard to finish second after an all-out sprint to the line. Rounding out the podium was fellow Dutchman Joep van Bakel 🇳🇱 , with Germany’s Ole Schwarz 🇩🇪 just behind in fourth. Belgian star Kjell De Bruyn 🇧🇪 capped off the Top 5 with another consistent result.

The event also featured strong participation from junior athletes, with several securing Top 10 placements and one remarkable 8-year-old completing the amateur distance — a testament to the inclusive and family-oriented spirit that defines the Namur SUP Race.
