Dana Ocean Challenge – A Celebration of Paddle Sports

The Dana Ocean Challenge once again brought together paddlers from multiple disciplines for an exciting showcase of skill, endurance, and ocean expertise. This premier multi-paddle sport event featured top-tier competition across SUP, outrigger canoe, and other paddle disciplines, attracting some of the best athletes in the sport.

Women Results

At the top of the podium, Mariecarmen Rivera delivered an outstanding performance, finishing in 49:11. As one of the world’s best SUP athletes, Rivera’s dominance on the water was evident, maintaining a strong lead throughout the race.

In second place, Soryn Preston, one of the most promising young paddlers in the U.S., impressed with a time of 56:22. At just a junior, her result highlights her rapid progress and potential for future international success.

Third place went to Samantha Eastburn, who crossed the line at 1:01:07, followed closely by Lindsay Weidner in fourth at 1:01:58. Both paddlers demonstrated resilience and strong pacing in challenging race conditions

Men Results

At the top of the podium, Danny Ching one of the greatest paddlers in the sport’s history. The SUP and outrigger canoe legend dominated the race, finishing with a blazing time of 45:09, setting the benchmark for the field. His technique, endurance, and ocean knowledge were unmatched.

Coming in second was Bodie Von Allmen, who clocked in at 47:15. The young athlete from Hood River is quickly, showing impressive speed and determination against world-class competition. His result confirms his place as one of the most promising paddlers in the U.S.

In the Masters division, Dave Boehne, a local legend and owner behind Infinity SUP, secured third overall and first in his category with a time of 53:10. Known for his prowess in SUP surfing and shaping high-performance boards, Boehne’s versatility in the sport was on full display.

Bo Weidner and Blake Hacker rounded out the top five, finishing in 58:37 and 59:19, respectively. Their strong performances highlighted the depth of talent in the Masters field.
