The scheduling conflict between The Lake Rocks Festival and the Barcelona World SUP Festival has been resolved. The EURO TOUR has adjusted the dates for Barcelona, moving them one week earlier to avoid overlapping with the Faaker See SUP Race.
With this change, May has now become the most action-packed month for SUP racing, featuring some of the highest-profile events. It has solidified its place as the most important month of the year for SUP racing in Europe and worldwide.

We are looking at six high-profile races that already garnered significant attention in 2024. That year, international A-listers toured across Europe, chasing substantial prize money. Most races received a prestigious 5-star rating from the SUP World Ranking and attracted extensive media coverage. However, at the end of the month, athletes faced a tough decision between racing at Lake Faak or in Barcelona. Both events offered great prize money, but with the EURO TOUR label and the chance to compete for the overall title, many athletes opted to stay in Spain.
In 2025, athletes no longer have to choose—now they can compete in all six races and maximize their earnings. Across the three EURO TOUR races, a total of €27K in prize money is up for grabs. The Lake Rocks Festival offers another €12K, while Agios Nikolaos provides a mix of prizes and prize money totaling €18K. Meanwhile, the Battle for Hercules is advertising prizes valued at €6K.

With a total prize pool of €63,000, late April and May will become the most valuable months in the 2025 SUP race season. We expect the entire competitive SUP world to follow these six high-profile races closely. With four out of six events taking place in Spain, it’s once again evident that Spain is not only the powerhouse of SUP athletes but also the leading host of premier SUP events.
Having this many top-tier races packed into such a short time frame means the world’s best paddlers will compete back-to-back for six consecutive weekends in Europe before reuniting at the World Championships of both major federations.
Late April and May will be intense, action-packed, and a defining period for the season. We’re excited to follow the SUP elite, track their earnings, and ultimately determine who emerges as the overall champion of this “Super SUP EURO Spring Tour”.
