APP Gran Canaria Pro-Am 2024

The Gran Canaria Pro-Am is back for its 5th edition in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, from the 3rd – 8th December 2024

The Gran Canaria Pro-am is back again in 2024, bringing the World’s best to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for the World Championship Final for both regular SUP surf and SUP longboard.

The event will take place from the 3rd – 8th December on the Island’s North Shore, right in front of its bustling Capital City, utilizing the same venues as before, with opening rounds and longboard SUP at La Cicer, with the final rounds of performance sup surfing to take place at El Lloret.

With a new site venue that sits between the two spots and 6 days of festivities to celebrate the APP’s presence on the island for this prestigious event, history will once again be made in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Champions will be crowned.

Entries will open by early next week at www.appworldtour.com  and build up to this year’s event will kick off as of now. The event will be broadcast live throughout.

World Titles will be decided in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria once again as the World’s best will congregate to do battle

There is an illustrious list of Champions that have been crowned in Las Palmas over the past 4 editions, as we will witness an even more impressive field than ever present at this year’s Gran Canaria Pro-Am. Established legends are set to clash with young guns that are looking to make their presence felt and earn their stripes on tour as we build up to an exciting showdown to wrap the 2024 Season.

In particular watch out for reigning World Champions Luis Diniz from Brazil and Iballa Moreno from right here in Gran Canaria. Both were in formidable form last year and will be looking to retain their respective titles in 2024.

However, this will not be without a real fight, as the most impressive line up of challengers yet will be coming to do battle, from the Brazilian storm of the Salazar family, Wellington Reis and Leonardo Gimenes, to the new wave of Japanese talent in the form of the Inoue family and Junior champion Kapono Fukuda, the field will be stacked.

Others to watch out for in particular are Luchy Cosoleto from Argentina, 2022 World Champion Benoit Carpentier, fellow Frenchman Clement Roseyro, Juan de los Reyes from Spain and of course the hard charger Sebastian Gomez from Peru. In the Women’s division, you can also never count out Aline Adisaka from Brazil, but also rising star from France, particularly in the longboard SUP division, Camille Dubrana.

The 2024 Gran Canaria Pro-Am will provide an important stepping stone to what is lining up to be a dynamic line up of events for 2025

This year’s Gran Canaria Pro-Am will not only be an exciting way to close the season in style and crown the 2024 World Champions, but it will also serve as a vital stepping stone to what will be a considerably built out 2025 season, with a full series of events that will provide an exciting global platform for the World’s Best.
