We tested the Armstrong ML55 Wing Foiling in our last video, and now it’s time to see how it performs in the waves. Having one board for two sports is perfect for traveling and overall convenience, not to mention it’s budget-friendly.
In this video, we take you out into the waves to test the board. With a length of 5’5″, it’s just a bit shorter than a regular shortboard. Its width of 18″ is similar to a shortboard, and the 55-liter volume is like a longboard. Needless to say, the board paddles really well, making it easy to catch waves early.
Beginner-Friendly and Great for Small Waves
If you’re just getting started with prone foiling, this board is ideal for you. It allows you to catch waves early because it paddles really fast. The length makes it feel no different from a regular surfboard, so you don’t have to get used to a much shorter board. The 55 liters on the board we tested were perfect for a very small day, making takeoff very easy.
For advanced wing foilers who have mastered the knee start, this board is great for having fun when there’s no wind.
