With record temperatures in Belgium the 12th edition of the Namur SUP Race was a great success with 11nations enjoying the summer sun.
On a great show of strength the Dutch Junior Donato Freens had a clear strategy to break the pack at the half way mark paddling to second EURO TOUR
Showing renewed energy Australian Kaelan Lockhart got second as his best result to date. On the same pack was Ole Schwarz who had a great sprint to the line beating Tom Grosub after a few great performances this season he made the coveted podium. Closing the Top5 was Germanies Bastian Grimm on a solid effort to keep Hermann Husslein in 6th after he unluckily run into a branch on the river.

On the women side the Top 2 rapidly broke the pack with Petronella Van Malsen and Tanja Ecker working together the whole race. With only a few months into racing Belgium Local Nathalie Van Olmen shows a bright future ahead. On her best performance on an international event Myrte Derks showed a great performance. Closing the Top 5 was French Anne-Sophie Quennrsson on her first international showing.

The Kid’s coming from the surrounding countries really stepped it up, doing the short course 5.5km for the smallest & the full 11km for the U-14 to Elite Juniors. A testament of how hard many of them train.
