SUP World Rankings Week 10 Update

Men Longdistance

We did expect a shake up in the SUP World Rankings after the Bord Ocean SUP Days as part of the EURO TOUR. The big question was: Will we see a change in leadership? But with the absence of Ludovic Teulade and Bruno Hasulyos 16th place, Donato Freens (11th) remains in first place. Runner up and man of the moment was Blue Ewer who won the race putting him self new into the 6th place. Another runner up is Kaelan Lockhart who moved into 4th position thanks to his 6th place in Bordeaux.

Women Longdistance

On the ladies side the shake up also remains manageable. The top two spots remain untouched: Esperanza once again won anther EURO TOUR race and keeps building her lead. Anna Tschirky was absent but built up enough points to stay save for this week. Less than 50 points behind Anna is Duna Gordillo who traded spots with Cecilia Pampinella. New in the top ten is Iona Rivet who was third in Bordeaux last weekend.

The two top spots remain untouched: Esperanza Barreras won the Bord Ocean Tech. Race and Cecilia Pampinalla won the Sweet Water Lake Race. Due to the race in France having a higher race index Espe was able to gain 373.75 points while Cecilia only got 154 for her victory in Italy. Runner up is Claudia Postiglione moving up 5 spots thanks to her 2nd place in Italy.

Men Tech. Race

Donato Freens is taking the top spot in Tech. Racing thanks to the points he got from his 11th Place in France and the fact that Ludovic Teulade was not present. The tow are neck on neck at the top of the ranking and if Ludovic is not showing up for some more races it will be hard for him to keep his spot. Right on his heels is now also Ollie Houghton moving up 7 spots with a 2nd place at the Bord Ocean Days race in Bordeaux.

The two new comers are Kaelan Lockhart and Fernando Perez both finishing with great results in France.

Sprint Races

No changes. Again we reiterate how surprising we find it that race organizers do not seem to have an appetite for 100 – 200 Meter sprints. This is a race format easy to organize and extremely spectator friendly.
