Pargue International Canoe Marathon plus SUP

Thanks to some detective work, social media and help from the community we were just became aware that there was another SUP Race this weekend. The Prague International Canoe Marathon with SUP inclusion, not to mistaken with the Prague Paddle Festival that will be on August 26. – 28. 2022.

After receiving the results and looking over them we definitely saw some noteworthy results and names in the list. Starting with an up and coming young paddler: Donato Freens, the young dutch athelte has been starting to make a name for himself of the last few weeks in this season. The 16 year old showed the German elite that he is now a big force in the central European paddle community. He beat Normen Weber, who is used to the top of the podium. This time Donato Freens beat Normen in the longdistance by almost 2 minutes. Behind him it was the usual German battle with Peter Weidert trying to beat Normen but this time Normen was once again faster but only by a hair. Austrias strongest paddler Christian Taucher came in forth with quite a bit of lag time.

Things repeated themselves for Donato in the Tech. Race. He beat Normen Weber one more time with an 8 seconds lead. We are also happy to see Andrey Kraitor on the list. Looks like he organized himself to be able to paddle under the Hungarian flag. We are happy to see him back in action.

Note worthy are also the ladies that showed up in Pargue. We had the Czech local Iva Dundova winning the open longdistance ahead of the German Tanja Ecker. Skadi Langbein another name that keeps comming up, won the junior women. We also had the ICF Masters Women medalist Susanne Eder-Meyer winning the longdistance over Andrea Kämmerer.
