We can learn from the Swiss example how a Canoe Federation and a Surfing Association can work together for the better of the sport. After the Swiss Pioneers in the french part of Switzerland retired from their efforts it opened up the doors for new people and ideas.
Almost at the same time the founders of the SUP Tour Schweiz retired as well. Now we have the Swiss Canoe Federation taking over the Swiss SUP Tour while SUP Suisse is exclusively responsible to hold a national championships and assembling a Swiss National Team.
We had the chance to sit down with Andi Saurer learning more about the background on how it all fell into place.
