King of the Cut 2020 Confirmed

After a race starved year it is really good to see that the legendary “King Of The Cut” SUP Downwind Race got the GO on the 5th of December.

Australia’s World Class Downwind Run

The Stand Up Surf Shop King of The Cut (KOTC) is held along the beautiful Peel Coastline where the famed, powerful and consistent West Coast sea breeze blows perfect, un-interrupted runners like an endless conveyor belt.

The 2020 edition of the Australian Downwind Championship the King of The Cut is in its 9th year and is again presented by SUPWA and the event’s long-time sponsor, the Stand Up Surf Shop in North Fremantle.Like most events this year, we have been affected by COVID and the limitations with runing an international event. This isn’t enough to keep the seabreeze and stonking downwind conditions away though, so we will be running this event with a few modifications and some new bonuses!

• 24km from Dawesville Cut to Secret Harbour
• New category: surf ski paddlers join local SUP competitors
• Run over one of the world’s best downwind paddle courses
