Foil Festival 200

The newly founded Deutsche Wing Foil Vereinigung e.V. is responsible for the sporting implementation of the German Championships as a feeder for European and World Championships. The club members have created a rulebook based on the experiences from last season’s regattas. The aim is to have fun together and to be judged fairly. At the DM two disciplines will be raced and there will be an open class for which professional wingers are also allowed to register.

Comparable to sailing, kite and windsurfing regattas, a boat crew lays out tons.

Here it’s all about speed and strategy.

All participants sail the course together – the first to round the target buoy is the winner.

surf freestyle

Spectacular jumps, rotations and combinations of maneuvers will be judged by a jury of five.

The higher and more difficult the jump or maneuver, the better the score. Two participants compete directly against each other in a knock-out procedure, with the one with the higher score advancing one round.
