EURO TOUR Royan 2026: Eliott Bry and Marie-Carmen Rivera Win Spectacular Beach Race

Eliott Bry and Marie-Carmen Rivera claimed victory at the five-star EuroTour Weekend de la Glisse 2026 in Royan, France. With sunshine, excellent waves and an incredibly close men’s final, the beach race delivered an exciting day of SUP racing on the Atlantic coast.

The Weekend de la Glisse once again brought together competitive stand-up paddling, multiple watersports and live music in Royan. Organized by Surfing Charentes and Nautisme Royan Atlantique, the festival has established itself as a popular stop on the EuroTour calendar.

This year’s five-star event offered ideal conditions for a spectacular beach race. While Rivera dominated the women’s competition, the men’s race came down to a dramatic finish, with just one second separating the top two competitors.

Marie-Carmen Rivera Dominates Women’s Beach Race

Two-time EuroTour champion Marie-Carmen Rivera of Puerto Rico delivered an outstanding performance to secure victory in the women’s competition.

Rivera was particularly impressive during her second run, producing a performance that would have placed her among the top five men. Her combination of speed and wave-reading ability made her the clear winner in Royan.

France’s Lola Pelletier, one of the promising young athletes from Ocean Paddle Camp, secured second place with an impressive race.

Fellow French competitor Gaëlle Paponnaud completed the podium in third, matching her result from last year after a strong second run.

Eliott Bry Wins Dramatic Men’s Final by Just One Second

The men’s competition produced one of the closest finishes of the weekend.

France’s Eliott Bry, following in the footsteps of his brother’s success on the 2025 EuroTour, demonstrated exceptional wave-reading skills throughout the race.

However, a fall near the finish line almost cost him the victory.

Greg Limelette took full advantage of the opportunity, producing a spectacular finishing run that nearly overturned the result. Bry ultimately held on to claim the win by just one second.

For Limelette, second place represented his strongest performance to date.

Young French talent Louka Brard completed the podium in third, underlining his position among France’s emerging SUP racing talents.

Spain’s Beñat Villagarcia delivered an impressive performance to finish fourth, while experienced French racer Ludovic Teulade rounded out the top five.

The Weekend de la Glisse continues to distinguish itself by combining high-level SUP racing with a broader watersports festival.

The 2026 edition featured sunshine, excellent surf conditions and an energetic atmosphere throughout the weekend. Alongside the sporting competitions, live concerts and other festival activities brought athletes, spectators and the local community together.

Organizing a multisport event of this scale while maintaining a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere is no small undertaking.
