The organizers of the Battle for Hercules, one of the most anticipated stand-up paddle (SUP) competitions, have announced that the 4th edition of the event will not take place in 2026. After careful consideration, the decision was made due to financial constraints and the significant logistical demands involved in hosting an event of this scale.
According to the official statement, the team emphasized the need to focus on strengthening the club and ensuring its long-term sustainability. “Organizing an event of this magnitude requires immense time, energy, and resources. Our priority is to keep pushing the club forward, which is at the heart of everything we do,” the announcement explained.

The Battle for Hercules was a popular SUP Race with the attendance of the world elite racers.
It is unfortunate that the sport looses another great race. Postponed is usually not a good sign and it is often hard to take things up where they have been left off after too long of an absence.
We hope for 2027.
Despite the postponement, the organizers expressed heartfelt gratitude to the SUP community, including riders, clubs, and supporters who have stood by them since day one. “We never imagined reaching this far when we started, and it’s incredible to see what we’ve built together,” they said.
The good news? The Battle for Hercules is expected to return in 2027, stronger and better than ever, with the necessary support to deliver an unforgettable experience for participants and fans alike.
For now, the SUP family continues to grow, united by passion and resilience. Stay tuned for updates as the countdown to Battle for Hercules 2027 begins.
