USA SUP a word from the new president

Linda McCoy Elected New President of USA SUP as Organization Sets Course for Growth and Connection

Austin, TX – USA SUP, the national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing stand-up paddleboarding across the United States, has announced the election of Linda McCoy as the new President of its Board of Directors. McCoy, who previously served as Vice President and led the Regional Representative program, brings years of leadership experience and a passion for community-driven growth in the sport.

“What began as a private Facebook group during the pandemic has now evolved into a vibrant, national organization,” McCoy said in a message to members. “I’m honored to help lead USA SUP into its next chapter.”

The organization extended gratitude to its outgoing leadership, particularly Founding President Harrison Withers III and former President Kristin Thomas, for their foundational work and the establishment of the National Championships and Regional Race Series.

As the organization looks ahead to 2025, McCoy has chosen the theme “Connection” to guide her leadership. “We want to be the bridge between community and competition,” she emphasized. “Whether you’re passionate about racing or simply enjoy paddling with friends, USA SUP has a place for you.”
