Cape Verde’s powerful, long right-handers set the perfect stage for the world’s best wing foilers to showcase their skills, and the finals saw intense head-to-head battles between the sport’s top athletes.
In the women’s final, Nia Suardiaz from Tarifa faced Hawaii’s Moona Whyte, a matchup that promised world-class wave riding. In the end, Suardiaz delivered a dominant performance, earning a score of 17.04 to Whyte’s 12.90, securing her first Wing Foil Wave World Championship title.
The men’s final was a thrilling battle between Maui’s Cash Berzolla and Canadian national Finn Spencer, who is also based in Maui. Both riders pushed the limits, but Berzolla edged out Spencer with a score of 16.20 to 15.60, claiming the 2025 GWA Wing Foil Wave World Champion title by the narrowest of margins.
