GBSUP National Series is kicking off with the SUPer8

GBSUP National Series Launches This Weekend with SUPer8 Event in Partnership with Black Project

The 2025 GBSUP National Series, supported by Black Project, will officially start this Saturday, 29th March, with the SUPer8 event. This opening race provides a full day of stand-up paddleboarding activities, with options suitable for a wide range of paddlers, from experienced racers to complete beginners.

The SUPer8 features several race formats and on-site activities:

  • Competitive Racing: This is the main racing category for paddlers looking to gain points toward the national series. Courses are designed to offer a fair but challenging experience for athletes competing at a high level.
  • Challenge Tour: Aimed at novice paddlers and those looking to take part in a more relaxed format, this tour allows participants to experience the structure of a SUP event without the pressure of competition.
  • Juniors and Newcomers: There will be dedicated activities and sessions for young paddlers and those new to the sport, offering a safe and supportive environment to learn and take part.
  • Clinics: Throughout the day, paddlers will have the opportunity to join skill-building sessions led by experienced athletes and coaches. These clinics are open to all participants and are a good chance to receive tips on technique and performance.
  • Brand Partners and Sponsors: A number of industry partners will be present at the event, showcasing the latest gear and equipment. It’s also a chance for paddlers to connect with the wider SUP community.

Timings for the day have been finalized, and registration is still open. The SUPer8 is designed to be inclusive, giving both competitive and recreational paddlers a chance to get involved in the national series from the start of the season.
