EURO TOUR 2024 Final Rankings

The first thing that stands out looking at the final rankings of the EURO TOUR 2024 is that the podiums are split between European paddlers and non European paddlers. Remarkable on the female side is Mariecarmen Rivera, she made quite an impression in the beginning of the season, pretty much winning all the races except Barcelona, there Esperanza Barreras took gold. (It was also her only race in the EURO TOUR) In second place is Susak Molinero who might not have made as many podiums but raced very consistently with good results.

Kimberly Barnes from Florida made her big entrance on the backend of the season with a 2nd place in Nordhausen and a victory in Namur that earned her the third spot in the over all ranking.

Over all the rankings are filled with many great names but unfortunately they did not always paddle against each other. Barcelona was the place to be, that was the race where we had pretty much everybody.

Shuri “Shrimpy” Araki dominated the entire season including Barcelona from where he went back home to Japan. He is the clear winner of the EURO TOUR 2024. Despite his two victories in Nordhausen and Namur, Donato Freens was not able to make up points to get past Shrimpy and win the season. Nevertheless he still did better this year as he was third in 2023 behind Noic Garioud and Michael Booth. Aaron Sanchez also had a good year, he improved his ranking from 2023 from 5 to 3.

Overall spoken we see a bit of the same pattern on the men side like on the women side: Different names choosing different events to participate and again Barcelona was the place to be where all the top names participated.
