KING OF THE BAY Event Draws Over 250 Participants and Hundreds of Spectators to Rewa, Poland

From May 30th to June 2nd, the picturesque town of Rewa, Poland, hosted the highly anticipated inaugural edition of the KING OF THE BAY event. This exhilarating four-day spectacle attracted over 250 participants, who showcased their skills across five thrilling disciplines: kitesurfing, windsurfing, wingfoiling, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), and the rapidly growing sport of pumpfoiling.

The event grounds buzzed with excitement as numerous renowned brands from the water sports industry exhibited their latest offerings. A multitude of spectators flocked to the event, captivated by the adrenaline-fueled action unfolding on the water.

The Pumpfoil Association played a pivotal role, setting up three dedicated launching docks to introduce this innovative sport to the masses. From dawn till dusk, these docks were a hive of activity, with long queues forming as eager participants and curious onlookers lined up for their chance to experience the thrill of pumpfoiling under the expert guidance of two seasoned instructors.

The atmosphere was electric as instructors Piotr Szymiec and Olek Czapla patiently guided newcomers through the intricacies of this unique water sport, ensuring a safe and enjoyable introduction. The training equipment provided by the Pumpfoil Association allowed participants to immerse themselves in the exhilarating world of pumpfoiling, fostering a newfound appreciation for this rapidly growing discipline.

On Friday, the second day of the event, the competition reached its pinnacle as sixteen talented athletes took center stage, showcasing their remarkable skills and techniques in a fierce battle for supremacy. After an intense and captivating display of athleticism, three exceptional competitors emerged victorious, ascending the podium amidst thunderous applause:

3rd Place: Staś Sułkowski

Piotr Szymiec truly stole the show, mesmerizing the audience with his awe-inspiring performance and rightfully claiming the coveted winner’s crown.
