It’s been over 2 month since I been in the burn zone and from what I heard there were some trees that survived. “ReGreen Lahaina” is a grass roots organization that cares for the trees in Lahaina.
I had the chance to spend a morning with Kai from ReGreen Lahaina helping him watering trees. It was not only very therapeutic to hold a hose in the hand and water trees, it was also a harsh reminder of what happened to Lahaina hand what a huge task it will be to get it all cleaned up and rebuilt.
