Not your conventional race. The stories we heard are just crazy. People completely sleep deprived with sometimes 5 Minute sleep breaks per hour. We are not even sure on how that is supposed to work.
Our friend Chris Parker followed the race in a live stream for how ever long youtube allows live stream. Looks like the cut off was around 12 hours. We love seeing specialty races like this and hope that we will see more of them with participation from some of the known elite paddlers. In fact the winner of this years Last Paddler Standing is Paolo Marconi a well know European SUP Athlete and husband to Susak Molinero one of Spains premier paddlers.

We notice quite a gap at the 26th lap. All the top paddlers are well known athletes in the Ultra Paddle World of which we sadly don’t hear too much in our SUP race bubble.
