Stickl and Starboard/Freewing invite to the season opening with Wing Event
The opening event “Try & Fly” will take place on May 7-8, 2022 at Stickl Sportcamp in Malcesine/Lake Garda. Take off with wingsurfing and wingfoiling with the latest equipment from Starboard and Freewing. Under the expert guidance of Team Stickl and Team Starboard, participants will be able to get started in this new water sport, which is already causing quite a stir. Wingsurfing differs according to the boards used in wingsurfing with fin and wingfoiling with foil instead of fin. The inflatable wing is very light and is simply taken in the hand. The Try & Fly Camp in May with the latest equipment, the professional program with intensive supervision and the overnight stay in the Stickl Beach Hotel Rosa including food result in an appealing experience package for only 249 euros. Only at the Try & Fly Event: Starboard Teamer present the board and wing novelties and are available for all questions. For less experienced board sportsmen there are test sessions on surf and SUP boards with wing. In medium winds and with coaching via radio, Stickl and Starboard instructors will provide the best introduction to the sport.
For experienced windsurfers or kitesurfers, after a short preparation, it’s straight onto the wingfoil boards. With the trainer boat the group is very flexible and always at the best spot depending on the wind situation. Boards and wings can be exchanged between the foilers on the water.
Several coach boats and instructors supervise the small groups of wingsurfers and wingfoilers on the water and organize the change of riders on the water, so that different material can be tested.
