European SUP League Launches New WhatsApp Communication System to Improve Coordination and Connectivity
The European SUP League (ESL) is introducing a more efficient, structured, and professional communication system designed to connect athletes, organizers, media, partners, and the wider Stand Up Paddle (SUP) community.
The organization has officially announced the launch of a new WhatsApp-based communication channel structure, aimed at improving coordination, streamlining information flow, and strengthening connections across all stakeholders within the European SUP circuit.
This initiative reflects the league’s continued growth and its commitment to providing tailored communication spaces adapted to the specific needs of each group within the SUP ecosystem.
A Structured, Role-Based Communication System
The new communication framework is organized into dedicated channels, each with a clearly defined purpose:
ESL Community
The central hub of the European SUP League. An open space for the entire community to discuss paddle racing, upcoming SUP events, and general industry news — fostering an inclusive, respectful, and engaging environment.
Media Center
The official hub for event media content. A dedicated space to share high-quality photos and videos from competitions, while ensuring respect for image rights and proper crediting of photographers and content creators.
Logistics
A coordination channel focused on operational needs between events. It facilitates travel planning, equipment transport, board storage, and athlete logistics — helping ensure smooth operations across all tour stops.
Partners & Collaborators
A private communication channel for sponsors, media partners, and key collaborators. Designed for administrative coordination, activation planning, and partnership management in a secure and confidential environment.
Organizers
A closed group for race directors and event organizers. A collaborative space to exchange knowledge, address logistical challenges, and continuously improve the execution and quality of each European SUP League event.
Communication Guidelines and Best Practices
To ensure effective communication across an international SUP community, the European SUP League has established clear guidelines for all channels:
- English is recommended as the primary language for communication
- All members must follow established community guidelines
- Failure to comply may result in removal from the channels
In content-driven channels such as the Media Center, users are also reminded to respect image rights and properly credit all photographers and creators.
Strengthening Professionalism Across the European SUP Circuit
With the introduction of this new WhatsApp communication system, the European SUP League reinforces its commitment to professionalism, transparency, and operational efficiency.
By creating structured and purpose-driven communication channels, ESL aims to build a more connected, collaborative, and globally accessible environment for athletes, event organizers, media, and partners.
The organization has also confirmed that it will continue to develop new tools and communication features to further enhance the experience for all stakeholders — both on and off the water.
