Epic Racing in True Atlantic Conditions
The Royan SUP Festival 2025, part of the Week-End de la Glisse, delivered everything paddlers and fans could hope for: real ocean conditions, tough battles on the water, and a vibrant festival vibe with concerts and side-events. Organized by Surfing Charentes and Nautisme Royan Atlantique, Royan on the French Atlantic coast became the epicenter of the international SUP scene.
Women’s Race – Iona Rivet Secures the Win
French paddler Iona Rivet lived up to her role as favorite, calling it the hardest race of her career so far.

Men’s Race – Ethan Bry on Top
On the men’s side, the clear favorite Ethan Bry dominated the field and claimed victory in style.

Festival Vibes and Looking Ahead to 2026
Beyond the racing, the concerts and side events brought a unique festival energy to Royan. The organizers Xavier and Damien pulled off a weekend that combined elite sport with music and community spirit. All eyes are now on the even bigger 2026 edition of the Royan SUP Festival.
