Planet Baltic SUP Race 2025 – German Paddlers Dominate in Kołobrzeg

Every summer, the shores of the Baltic Sea come alive with one of Eastern Europe’s most anticipated SUP events – the Planet Baltic SUP Race. Set against the backdrop of the scenic seaside city of Kołobrzeg, Poland, the race attracts paddlers from across the country and beyond, eager to test their skills against the waves, wind, and unpredictable currents of the open sea. Known for its vibrant beach atmosphere, challenging courses, and strong community spirit, the event offers competition for elite racers, juniors, and amateurs alike. It’s a unique blend of high-level racing and the relaxed charm of a coastal festival.

This year, German paddlers stole the show, securing three out of six available podium titles. Rising junior talent Benyam Bossak delivered a standout performance, taking 2nd place in Long Distance, victory in the Sprint, and 4th in the Technical Race. On the women’s side, fellow German Skadi Langbein impressed with a win in the Long Distance, 2nd place in the Technical Race, and a 6th in the Sprint. With Kołobrzeg located just a few hours from the German border and the Berlin region, it’s no surprise that the event draws strong participation from Germany’s SUP hopefuls.
