So this is kind of a crazy story. In the German Bundesland Sachsen (Saxony) the local shipping and economics ministry decided practically over night that foiling is a danger to water goers and therefore decided to ban it all together. They completely ignore the fact that Windsurf Foiling for example is an Olympic sport. Local athletes are now no longer able to train their sport. Even after a round table meeting with industry members they were not convinced that their ban is unreasonable. In fact the ban in Saxony is worldwide the only ban on foil sports.
