SUMMARY:Big Clarence 2022
DESCRIPTION:This point to point down river 40km race is for SUP and Prone Paddlers Only. The course will encompass stage 1 of the already established Mighty “Clarence 100” and extend from Copmanhurst to Grafton\, taking in the most scenic and diverse geographical features associated with the Clarence River\, NSW. \n\n\n\nThis is a proper flat-water board paddle marathon and will commences with an early morning start. Individual participants should expect to be on the water for up to 7 hours to complete the distance.  SUP paddlers will be required to paddle any board over 14ft. Prone paddlers will be divided into unlimited\, Stock 14ft and SLSC 10.6 Mals. Category and division awards will be  on the basis of participant entry numbers \n\n\n\nNot only will there be the prestige for individual effort there will also be the opportunity for clubs and teams to race against each other In relay formats. Club team representation is encouraged. We will promote State against State\, club against Club and Individual against Individual. \n\n\n\nThe event recognises the first nation custodians of the land including the Bundjalung\, Gumbaynggiir and Yaegl people. The event will continue to highlight the cultural significance the Clarence River known in cultural history as “Berimba”.
